    KAY BURNETT
    National Women’s Department Director

    • Oversees all department ministries and personnel
    • Represents the national department in various capacities within the General Council
    • Plans annual seminar for district directors
    • Plans biennial General Council women's activities
    • Directs National Women's Department publications
    • Travels in field ministry-retreats, conventions, all district leadership training, etc.
    • Serves as denominational women's representative to affiliated organizations
    • Assists in denominational events and functions as needed

    Kay is an AG minister and previously served as the Women's Ministries Director for the Arizona Ministry Network for over eight years. She met her husband, Jim, in high school, and they have been married for 35 years. They lived in Flagstaff for 26 years, where they most recently pastored Northland Christian Assembly-a church they planted in 1999. The Burnetts have two adult children and four grandchildren.

    • Manages and coordinates writing for National Women's Ministries team Web sites and e-newsletters
    • Responds to e-mails sent through the Web site
    • Writes content for various other department communications; serves as liaison with districts and local churches for editorial content, or graphic design files; writes for outside publications as needed
    • Oversees social media-Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram
    • Publications liaison-to coordinate books, music, videos from publishers for research or review in department resources
    • Coordinates reprint permissions in and out of the department
    • Assists in planning and presenting sessions for district Women's Ministries leadership conference as needed
    • Assists with other team or General Council activities as needed

    Darla considers it a privilege to help provide ministry resources for women, and loves working with district Women's Ministries Directors across the nation. She has been on the National Women's Ministries team since 1985, except for a brief time as a children's curriculum editor, and directing children's ministries and Junior Bible Quiz in her local church when her own sons were young. She has a bachelor's degree in English education from Evangel University and has served as an adjunct faculty member of Evangel in the Humanities Department. Darla's husband, Rick, is managing editor of Influence magazine; they have two sons, Colin and Christopher.

    Administrative Coordinator to the National Director

    • Assists the National Director in all secretarial duties
    • Assists the National Director with travel coordination
    • Coordinates Update for district directors
    • Department liaison for e-mails and phone calls
    • Assists in departmental events and functions as needed

    Jennifer has been at the General Council since 1982. She came to the National Women’s Department in 1992. Previously, she had worked in childcare and at a dentist’s office. She assists with the children’s choir at her local church, Central Assembly of God, and enjoys her involvement in Beyond the Walls, an outreach to single moms and widows. Jennifer is married to Jerry, a commercial carpenter. They have three children and five grandchildren. She enjoys watching her son play baseball and spending time with family and friends.

    Missions and Ministries Coordinator

    • Assists the national director in administrative responsibilities as directed
    • Oversees and promotes all national Women’s Ministries projects
    • Maintains records and disburses departmental missions funds
    • Processes all contributions and promotional orders for the department
    • Coordinates the departmental and publications budgets
    • Coordinates departmental equipment and supplies
    • Serves on various headquarters committees
    • Assists in departmental events and functions as needed

    Karlene came to the General Council and National Women’s Department in 1973. She has been a student at both Drury and Missouri State University, taking several classes in accounting and programming. Karlene also serves on the Assemblies of God Credit Union board of directors. She is married to Norm, who formerly was Telecommunications director for the General Council, now retired. They have three children and five grandchildren. Karlene enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, fishing, working outdoors, traveling, and collecting all sorts of things.

    • Understand the needs of women and how to equip churches to minister specifically to them
    • Lead and coordinate efforts for developing women’s leaders in the local church
    • Create new training initiatives
    • Create online training units, assign writers, manage the departmental editorial process for units, and manage the schedule for the release of new units
    • Participate in field ministry-training events and women’s ministry events
    • Help director organize and execute all efforts for ministry wives
    • Maintain content schedule for Her Green Room website
    • Develop content and lead team meeting for monthly e-update for directors

    Jourdan was born and raised in Alabama. After high school, she moved to Springfield, MO, to attend Evangel University where she earned an associate's degree in leadership and a bachelor's degree in business management. Jourdan was previously on staff at the James River Leadership Campus of Evangel University where she oversaw enrollment and managed a team of student leaders. Jourdan and her husband, Brandon, have a passion for the local church and served as pastors in Brandon's home church in Colorado for a short time. The Lunsfords love to drink coffee, cook, host people in their home, and spoil their two-year-old Boston Terrier.
