SPRINGFIELD, MO—The National Womens Department announces the theme for 2015 for women in the Assemblies of God as: “A Beautiful Life.” The theme verse in 1 Peter 1:22, NIV, “Love one another deeply, from the heart.”
National Women’s Ministries Day for Assemblies of God churches across the United States is Sunday, February 22, 2015.
The theme Bible study is A Beautiful Life: Discovering the Joy of Selfless Love by Kerry Clarensau, National Women’s Ministries Director for the Assemblies of God. Kerry invites you to discover the reason you were created. She says, “ Although we are created for relationships, many things hinder our ability to engage with others in a meaningful, fulfilling way. Loving well requires selflessness—which is the opposite of current thought. Self-centered thinking robs our joy and leaves us relationally broken. However, dying to self and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead every thought, word, and action brings us true happiness and healthy relationships.”
The 2015 National Women’s Ministries Day service gives an opportunity for every church to honor its women and encourage them to expand the ministries they currently share. Churches may wish to recognize women for their varied and valuable contributions to the ministries of the entire church.

National Women’s Day also allows each congregation to give an offering to support the Assemblies of God National Women’s Department. These offerings help continue the ministries provided to women across the nation and around the world. Offerings can be sent any time during the year.
Information for planning a National Women’s Ministries Day service was mailed in late August 2014 to every Assemblies of God church, included in the resource magazine titled, Ministering to Women in 2015. If your church did not receive the 2015 resource magazine, please call the National Women’s Department at 800-448-2235. You can also find more resource for the 2015 National Women’s Ministries emphasis on this website, under “More Resources,” and by links at the bottom of this article.
The National Women’s Department of the Assemblies of God exists to help equip churches to effectively minister to women. The department provides strategies, training, and resources for district directors and local congregational leaders to create intentional, effective ministry to women. As women in Assemblies of God churches become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, they will discover greater joy and fulfillment, creating healthier relationships, families, churches and communities.
