SPRINGFIELD, MO-The National Women's Department announces the theme for 2017 for women in the Assemblies of God as: "Live Fully." The theme verse in Ephesians 3:17, NLT, "Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong."
National Women's Ministries Day for Assemblies of God churches across the United States is: Sunday, February 26, 2017.
The theme Bible study is the 30-day devotional book Fully His: Make the Life God Offers Your Own by Kerry Clarensau, North Texas Assemblies of God District Director, and former National Women's Ministries Director. We invite you to embrace all that Christ has to offer you. The introduction to Fully His states, "Throughout Scripture we see glimpses into God's heart and the things He wants for His children. He longs for us to depend fully on Him, just as a small child rests in the care of loving parents. We don't have to make sense of every circumstance or live in our own wisdom and strength. God wants us to trust Him with our whole heart."
An all-new Quick Guide for Ministry to Women will also release for 2017, to equip leaders of women in local churches to effectively reach women in their churches and communities.
The 2017 National Women's Ministries Day service gives an opportunity for every church to honor its women and encourage them to expand the ministries they currently share. Churches may wish to recognize women for their varied and valuable contributions to the ministries of the entire church. National Women's Day also allows each congregation to give an offering to support the Assemblies of God National Women's Department. These offerings help continue the ministries provided to women in each district of the nation and around the world. Offerings can be sent any time during the year. Information for planning a National Women's Ministries Day service will be mailed in late 2016 to every Assemblies of God church, included in the resource magazine titled, Ministering to Women in 2017.
The National Women's Department of the Assemblies of God exists to help equip churches to effectively minister to women. The department provides strategies, training, and resources for district directors and local congregational leaders to create intentional, effective ministry to women. As women in Assemblies of God churches become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, they will discover greater joy and fulfillment, creating healthier relationships, families, churches and communities.
