National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October marks the 25th observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The National Women's Department offers a small group ministry packet titled Snuff Out the Fear of Cancer. This packet can help your church launch a care group, in which you invite your community and give useful materials to cancer patients and their families. Included are a manual, a Snuff Out the Fear of Cancer poster, lapel pin, bumper sticker and prayer cards (both English and Spanish), and a sample advertisement. Also included are brochures, resource lists and practical helps from both the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
