Do You Care?

The Assemblies of God national Women’s Department is joining other evangelical ministries in introducing a campaign: iCare…about protecting children.

The number of incidents of sexual abuse of children and young people is rapidly increasing. We must protect our children from the following sexual exploitation:

• being exposed to pornography or media messages
• being molested
• being stalked by predators
• being sold into sex slavery.

Our goal for iCare is threefold:

• We are calling women to passionate and persistent prayer. As Pentecostal believers know prayer changes even the worst situation.
• We must educate parents to the dangers facing this generation of children and youth. Parents must know the facts, and then take steps to protect their families.
• We will occasionally call the iCare members to action when they need to contact legislators about a vote or decision that leaves our children unprotected.

Pornography and other sexually explicit materials are now readily available on any wireless mobile device with Internet capabilities. Our children and grandchildren are at risk. Entire families, thus whole communities, stand to become victims of the immeasurable moral, social and spiritual damages.

The sexualization of America will continue to worsen. We must be determined to confront this evil in every way our democratic and legal system allows.
