One of the many highlights a leader experiences is broadening relationships through hosting guest speakers at events. The right speaker can add substantial value to your ministry event. Once you confirm the speaker, it is easy to check the box and assume everything else will come together naturally. However, your attention to small but meaningful details can make the guest speaker’s visit more pleasant—and potentially more fruitful due to the stellar care she receives before, during, and after your event.

Women yearn for belonging, and small groups can provide the atmosphere for the involvement and connection they crave. A small group also provides an effective place for training and biblical instruction. The body of Christ can offer something the world cannot—authentic, life-giving relationships.

Over 1.3 million women are victims of domestic violence each year. Take a minute to mentally absorb how many women that is. Now quickly, think of four women you know. According to statistics, one of those four is a domestic abuse victim. We need to reflect on and properly respond to these acts of epidemic proportion in society today. The Bible does not teach that people may abuse one another. We are God's children and deserve to be treated accordingly.

Leading others in studying the Bible can be a bit intimidating for beginners. A Bible study is much more than a book club, because the Bible is much more than a book. As a Bible study leader, you have the opportunity—the calling—to apply Scripture to all kinds of real-life issues.

Moderating a Bible study requires a different set of skills than planning a Bible study. You'll need more than precise organization and foresight when you're suddenly confronted with an unresponsive or emotionally charged study group.
